ROOTED IN PRIDE

Florescence embraces our moral obligation to ensure that all business practices are environmentally considerate for both the planet and the consciousness of our supporters. Below we share our diligent commitment to the environment and sustainability.

ENERGY CONSERVATION

It is no secret that cannabis cultivation is energy and resource intensive. Florescence has invested in cutting-edge LED lighting to reduce overall wattage consumption while maintaining optimal efficiency.

Florescence has also invested in state-of-the-art environmental controlling systems, which allow us to minimize lighting output without sacrificing quality, meaning less energy consumption, hence a more sustainable operation.

As Florescence progresses as a business, we plan to gradually implement solar panels, so all energy consumption is harvested directly from the sun, supplying all electrical needs with 100% green energy.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION

Florescence’s esteem for the environment is absolute. We vow to make every effort to ensure we do our part in environmental conservation. Human impact has placed our planet in crisis, warranting a need for counter measures.

To do our part in combatting these terrible circumstances, we have made it a crucial part of Florescence’s environmental plan to dedicate a percentage of our annual revenue towards purchasing land strictly for conservation purposes. This land will NOT be subject to any form of development and will be left as is, the way mother nature intended.

WATER CONSERVATION

To achieve unparalleled water efficiency, Florescence will utilize a net-zero water plan. Reduced water consumption is achieved through employing low and no-flow fixtures on the non-production side of the facility. Likewise, on the production side of the facility, low-waste drip irrigation systems are used throughout all cultivation areas.

Drip irrigation also assists in eliminating the large interface between irrigation water and the environment associated with open irrigation systems and drain-to-waste runoff generated by traditional irrigation systems. It also reduces “waste humidity,” which is not generated by transpiration but through evaporation in the irrigation process.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Florescence makes an extremely dedicated effort towards minimizing overall waste output; however, any waste produced is managed in a way that proves environmentally considerate.

Water waste:

  • Water waste produced throughout the reverse osmosis filtration process is reclaimed and reused for any cleaning/washing needs

Soil waste:

  • In an effort to reuse while giving back to the community, used soil is gifted to neighboring agricultural establishments for composting and continued use

Plastic and paper waste:

  • All plastic and paper waste is effectively recycled
